Cozy Dog Friendly Cottage Steps from the Ocean

Beacon's Light

Wake to ocean air, fall asleep to the distant rhythm of the waves, and spend your days exactly as you please - slow and serene or filled with coastal adventure. Beacon’s Light is a warm, inviting beach cottage designed for togetherness, comfort, and effortless Rockaway Beach living.

Just steps from the Pacific, this family- and dog-friendly home places you right in the heart of Rockaway Beach. Morning beach walks, spontaneous sunset strolls, kite flying with the kids, or an impromptu trip for ice cream or fresh seafood - all are part of daily life here. The coastline, local shops, dining, and small-town charm are right outside your door.

Inside, the home comfortably sleeps up to six guests and feels instantly welcoming. Two thoughtfully arranged bedrooms include a cozy room with a double bed and a second with twin bunk beds - perfect for kids. A sleeper sofa in the living room offers additional space for guests. Small and medium dogs (under 40 lbs) are welcome to join the adventure, because vacations are better when the whole family comes along.

One of the home’s most charming features is the loft space off the bunk room. A special hideaway where imaginations run wild, stories are invented, and kids can truly make the space their own. Downstairs, the living room invites you to gather, unwind, and stream your favorite shows after a day at the beach. Large picture windows fill the home with natural light and frame peaceful mountain views, creating a calm contrast to the nearby ocean energy.

The well-equipped kitchen makes cooking easy, whether you’re preparing a simple breakfast before beachcombing or a cozy family dinner after a day exploring. Additional comforts include reliable internet and a private laundry area. Everything you need to settle in and stay awhile.

Rockaway Beach is a place where ocean mists meet forested mountains, offering both quiet moments and endless opportunities for exploration. Walk the shoreline, watch for whales, explore tide pools near Twin Rocks, or visit the Old Growth Cedar Preserve. Local shops, playgrounds, and casual dining spots add to the easygoing coastal charm. For a scenic day trip, Tillamook is just a short drive away, home to iconic cheese, breweries, and aviation history.

Beacon’s Light is more than a place to stay, it’s a relaxed coastal home base where memories are made, shoes stay sandy, and time slows down just enough to savor it all. Come experience Rockaway Beach the way it’s meant to be enjoyed.
